On the occasion of National Youth Day, Youth Shakti Social Foundation marked a significant milestone with the successful completion of its official registration, celebrated through a meaningful social welfare program held in Durgapur.
To commemorate the day, the NGO organized a special outreach program at a local old-age home (Bridhashram), where members spent quality time with the elderly residents. During the program, the foundation members took a collective oath to take responsibility for the care and well-being of all the elderly present, reaffirming their commitment to social service and human values.
As part of the initiative, the organization distributed more than 200 medical amenities to senior citizens aged above 60 years and other needy individuals. The team also conducted awareness sessions for local citizens, educating them about various government welfare schemes and assisting them in understanding how to access these benefits.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Sayan Chakraborty, President of Youth Shakti Social Foundation, announced several future initiatives aimed at improving community health and welfare. He stated that the foundation has decided to provide hearing aids, conduct free periodic health check-ups, organize eye camps, and distribute wheelchairs and other essential medical equipment for the differently-abled and elderly.
Highlighting the organization’s compassion beyond human welfare, Dr. Chakraborty also announced plans to distribute blankets to street dogs during winter and ensure medical treatment for injured and sick stray animals.
Dr. Sayan Chakraborty, who is a former District President and currently serves as the National Director, emphasized that Youth Shakti Social Foundation is committed to inclusive development, social responsibility, and grassroots-level impact.
